Range Of Crazy
We are all crazy.
Pretty much everyone I know or have ever come in contact with is nuts in one way or another.
So if you are in a relationship with someone (business, personal, whatever) — and you find yourself wondering “is that person crazy?” the answer is Y-E-S.
And if you are in a relationship of any kind with another person, you have chosen to accept their crazy… for the time being at least.
Now.
As you go through life, you have experiences with that person and anytime an experience is outside the normal/accepted range of crazy, you will find yourself right back to asking yourself:
Is that person crazy?
And it comes right back to the same answer… yes.
And you re-evaluate the relationship and either choose to continue it or end it.
And thus goes the circle of crazy with pretty much everyone you know.
You have an acceptable range of crazy with the person until they do something that is outside the range of crazy and then you re-evaluate whether or not you can deal with their crazy.
And if you choose to keep dealing with it, then you have chosen to just WIDEN the range of crazy that you can accept with that person.
And over time… with everyone you come in contact with… one of two things happens:
1. You drift apart because at some point something happened outside the range of crazy that was acceptable at the time and one of you chose to break the relationship
or
2. You end up with a life-long relationship that has an ever-widening range of crazy.
So.
The good news is yes, I am crazy.
And the bad news is so are you.
It all comes down to the range of crazy that is established between us.
